Song for the Fourth

Here's a song I put together which includes some audio from our local fireworks show down at the Scatchet Head beach. It is a long ambient type piece that I mostly performed live in our yard recording the audio with my field recorder. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you can make it through to the last couple of minutes it ends with a really nice acoustic reverie.

In my mind it tells a story.

Very nice. My favorite piece of yours yet. I particularly like the place approaching midway when the voices cascade, rising into a sort of low, repeating, siren? almost kind of sound...and the picking at the end of course. Great sound.
The photographs were great too. Sounds like you all had a good time.

Franny--we haven't seen you since you were a small girl living nexdoor, but we've thought of you, Brian, Mehgan, and your parents often over the years since we left Oberlin (1984). A particular memory with you: you and Steve sitting and talking about "serious and important things," which we now do with our grandkids. We send our love in this hard time.
